Description
Micron has one of the widest ranges of Performance and Industrial SSD's. As a leading innovator in NAND FLASH Technology Micron is well placed to deliver leading SSD product families such as the 9400, 7450, 5400, and 2100AI shown here. Micron leads in developing SSD's for Performance applications such as Data Centres where read/write speeds are very important and reliability is also key. Micron also offers a range of SSD's for Industrial applications where extreme temperatures can be experienced and SSD's need to perform in environments where reliability is demanded.
Features
9400 Features- Leading capacity requires fewer servers to capitalize on immense data The Micron 9400 SSD has an industry-leading capacity of 30TB, doubling the maximum capacity of Micron’s prior-generation performance NVMe SSD. Increased capacity per SSD means that the same amount of data can be stored in half as many servers. That means half as many servers to procure and half as many servers to manage. Free IT resources to innovate — not manage hardware.
- Leading storage performance that impacts real-world applications The Micron 9400 SSD enables up to 2.3X higher mixed workload IOPS than the other leading competitor. Micron’s mixed, random performance frees workloads to power through demand spikes in content delivery networks (caching), AI training and performance-focused databases.
- Higher power efficiency that reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to prior SSD generation A major component of the total cost of ownership is a combination of workload results (IOPS) and the amount of power consumed (in watts). Higher power efficiency means you get more throughput (higher IOPS) for the energy consumed (watts) to do that work. The Micron 9400 has up to 77% better power efficiency6 than our prior-generation SSD. The 9400 SSD improves power efficiency and helps you save money while reducing your environmental impact.
- 176-layer NAND improves storage performance for data centre workloads Industry-leading 176-layer NAND, coupled with Micron CMOSunder-array (CuA) technology and PCIe Gen4, enables the 7450 SSD to yield faster read and write speeds, up to 1 million IOPS, enabling faster booting and application responsiveness.
- 2ms and below QoS latency enables impressive responsiveness in data centre workloads The 7450 SSD delivers 2ms and below 99.9999% read latency. This low and consistent latency can improve performance in latency-sensitive data centre applications, including databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, RocksDB, Cassandra and Aerospike, among others.
- Capacity, form factor and security options fit a wide variety of data centre workloads The 7450 SSD delivers an impressive array of capacities, from 400GB to 15.36TB9 and has the industry’s broadest variety of form factors, including U.3, M.2 and E1.S. It is the only PCIe Gen4 U.3 SSD in the industry available in both 15mm and 7mm, plus there is an industry-leading 7.68TB E1.S option. These capacity and form factors choices help meet rapidly evolving power and thermal needs in your data centre. Security features like the Micron-unique Secure Execution Environment, self-encrypting drives (SEDs) and Microsoft eDrive options tailor security to deployment requirements and help improve your data security.
- Get more out of SATA in your servers The Micron 5400 SSD is the world’s first 176-layer data centre SATA SSD. The 5400 SSD offers the industry’s broadest portfolio of data centre SATA drives, more than enough performance to saturate typical network bandwidth (≤50 GbE), and best-in-class write performance (sequential and random) among mixed-use data centre SATA SSDs.
- Easy to qualify This is Micron’s 11th-generation SATA drive, now with 176-layer NAND. It offers a proven and stable architecture trusted for generations by all major server OEMs, and it continues to be used in new server designs. It enables easy replacement of 10K and 7.2K HDDs with straightforward compatibility.
- More usable life and fewer field failures The Micron 5400 offers reliability (MTTF) and endurance ratings that are 50% higher than the other leading data centre SATA SSD — all backed by Micron’s standard 5-year data centre SSD warranty.
- Extended Temperature Ranges —Withstand extreme environments via an industrial temperature range (M500IT: –40°C to 85°C, 2100AI: –40°C to 95°C), an automotive temperature range (2100AT: –40°C to 105°C), and adaptive thermal throttling.
- Robust Data Security — Protect data with industry-leading and on-the-fly hardware-based encryption, secure firmware download, and cryptographic erase.
- Data Path Protection — Help protect user data as it passes through the SSD (2100AI/AT).
- Power-Loss Protection —Protect data at rest, helping to ensure data integrity in unexpected power-loss events.
- Responsive Performance —Deliver significantly faster boot, file and application load times compared to traditional hard drives.
- Low Power Consumption —Consume considerably less power than typical hard drives.
